Delancey is an upscale, exposed brick and dark wood pizza parlor with an East Coast vibe located in a populated stretch of Sunset blvd in Hollywood.
They have absolutely fantastic NY style pizza and pretty boring pasta.
The crust was thin with a nice balance of crispy and chewy (the edge was airy and crispy, mostly sauced – I hate a vast dessert of unsauced, totally exposed crust. Sauce it or spread some herbed oil on it. Don’t leave it a barren sand dune) toppings were very flavorful and you get a decent sized pie for the price.
They must have run completely out of salt for the pasta, which was sad and wrong. The noodles were perfectly cooked, it had so much potential.
Meatballs were small for the cost but tasty.
Great beer selection but I found the cocktails less inspired.
Come to Delancey for a delicious pizza and some beers and you’ll be just fine. And in pain due to pizza belly because you ate too much and have no self control.
