Belcampo Meat Co. has a pretty cool thing going on. All their organic, humanly raised meats come from their very own farm near Mt. Shasta.
They sell this meat two ways. You can take it home and cook it yourself. Or you can sit at their small counter in the Grand Central Market and let them prepare it for you.
I’m a lazy F, so I chose the latter.
I was with a fellow hungry diner, so we ordered a bunch of stuff.
We started with the Beef Tallow Fries and the Spicy Fried Broccolini. Both were awesome. Must orders. The fries were just crispy enough and soaked in flavor and the broccolini had a great vinegary finish.
The Philadelphia Cheesesteak was my favorite. The meat was super flavorful and super tender. Super all around. So good.
The Pork Loin Milanesa sandwich was also truly excellent. Loved the breading on the pork patties paired with the creamy avocado.
The Burger was very traditional and very basic. It was definitely juicy and well cooked. Loved the brioche sesame seed buns! I want to take a long nap on them.
You’ll pay a buck or two more than your typical spot but you’re getting top notch meat and great service. So stop being so damn cheap.
Plus, Egg Slut has too big a line to wait in. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
