Signature Burger is a new, super casual burger spot off the main drag in Culver City.
While, I’m initially a little leery of gourmet burgers (I prefer old school), I still must always try them.
The theme here is burgers from around the world, even an orange chicken burger!
Today, we chose burgers from Korea and Italy.
I appreciated that the often dry ass brioche was not dry ass. It was moist. Sorry to do that to you, folks. It’s the only word I can think of.
The burger patty was large but nicely cooked. The burger appeared too big to fit into my mouth but it was adequately squishy so there were no problems there.
Sauces seem to come on every burger, which is much appreciated. A dry burger is a travesty I only can tolerate at family reunions and company picnics.
I would have liked more Korean flavors in my burger, maybe even some spices mixed in the patty. Maybe a little kimchi. But I still liked the Korean bbq sauce.
This place just opened so I’ll cut them some slack for the hugely disappointing Bacon Ono Fries.
You get to choose between regular and sweet potato (for free) which is nice, but where were all the toppings?? A few tiny bits of bacon, which couldn’t stick to the fries because THERE WAS NO CHEESE!
I know you’re new and all, people, but everyone knows what shitty cheese fries looks like (see below).
In the close up pic below, I’ll give you a prize if you can find any cheese. Sorry, I meant if you can find any melted cheese.
That being said, the burgers were very good, so we’ll be back try see how a burger would taste in Greece or Mexico.
(I’m sure neither place would skimp on cheese!)
