I used to come to La Bruschetta all the time when I worked in the area almost ten years ago.
(However, I never had any bruschetta there)
I often dined with my coworker and friend, Natasha, when we would sneak away for the occasional 2 wine lunch.
Natasha was a troubled soul who eventually took her own life.
We didn’t have any wine this afternoon but I did snarf down my beefy, saucy lasagna and think fondly of her.
BTW, nothing has changed about this place since I was last here…
When I eventually travelled to Italy, I came back and found this place to be one of the most understated, authentic Italian restaurants in LA.
No celebrity chef, no mindblowing decor, no fancy culinary tricks or trendy ingredients.
Just super simple, high quality tasty and traditional dishes.
